Courntey and Emily wrap up the Legendary Summer Series with Dame Julie Andrews’ second memoir “Home Work: A Memoir of My Hollywood Years.” Andrews’ memoir takes place from 1962-1986 starting with her Hollywood debut in Disney’s “Mary Poppins” and ending with her second husband’s semi autobiographical film, “That’s Life!” Andrews reflects on the work and self discovery it took to balance a new career on the silver screen and a home life which included divorce, a second marriage, two step children, two adopted children, therapy, multiple family emergencies, and living around the world. In between hardships, Andrews also humbly shares all of the amazing opportunities and memories she has making movies and learning how to use and harness her talents. Courtney and Emily conclude the episode again talking about the criteria to become a Disney Legend and discuss how Julie Andrews managed to achieve it with just one film.
